Here’s a simple guide to how your gift makes a difference. Many AMA classes are fee-for-service, but families, schools, and agencies are simply not charged enough to cover the direct programming costs. The gift guide helps to illustrate where donations are needed. All gifts are appreciated and help AMA continue its mission.
$25 Donation - Helps purchase canvas and other art supplies
$120 Donation - Provides extra discounted classes for school classrooms.
$375 Donation - Supports monthly classes at a nursing home for a year.
$660 Donation - Offsets the direct programming costs for a therapeutic, One-on-One student for a year.
Examples shown are illustrative. Contributions may be used to support programs, operations, and mission-related needs at the discretion of Awakening Minds Art.

The Forever Fund: AMA Endowment through the Findlay-Hancock Community Foundation

This fund (We call it the Forever Fund) is more than just a financial goal - it’s a promise to future generations that therapeutic and educational visual art programming for all ages and abilities will continue far into the future for this community. General Donations / Unrestricted Gifts
These gifts are vital to the organization because they allow AMA to use the contribution in whatever way necessary. Whether the money goes towards art supplies, running water, or an instructor’s name tag, AMA uses your gifts for the betterment of the organization and focuses on responsible, impactful spending. Art-For-All Fund: Free/Heavily Discounted Programs
Gifts donated to this discretionary fund are used to support groups unable to pay full or partial price for programming. In addition to providing free classes to at risk and low-income facilities, AMA’s participation in free community events, workshops for at-risk populations, and collaborative ventures with other organizations are examples of ways these funds may be used. Donate directly to this fund here.
